    This is a very grey area. Don’t be fooled into thinking that if you don’t pay someone, or they volunteer that they are not employees.

    We all think of an Employee as someone who works for you either part time or full time and gets paid a wage for doing so. But under the definition of Employee we must also include any volunteers, anyone who perhaps just helps out every now and then and are then given a free lesson. Any one at all who works under your supervision or control is deemed to be an employee.

    So be careful and if in doubt ask!
